About

Kathy Brennan grew up in the Midwest surrounded by gardens, trees, orchards, and wide-open spaces. Her artist father taught her to paint and to carefully observe the natural world.

Kathy's art is deeply inspired by nature and the idea that there is generally far more going on than what first meets the eye. She uses color, line, and abstraction to create a new way of seeing things.

Kathy has shown her work in multiple group shows at the Torpedo Factory in Old Town, Alexandria; Arts on Foot Washington DC; The Old Town Alexandria Art Fair and most recently in Atlanta at the Old Fourth Ward Art Show. She has had solo shows at Steel Plate in Washington DC in 2015 (Playing with Abstraction) and 2016 (New Works).

Kathy recently moved to Georgia from Washington DC and is excited to become part of the art community in the Atlanta area.
